The 7th eviction of BB4 will take place tonight after the last nights' eviction was postponed. This was due to a security alert. At around 8pm, the security carried out the usual security checks, but the sniffer dogs reacted to a box found in the George
Lucas Studio where Big Brother is produced. The police were called immediately and the show replaced with Friends. It was anticipated that the 10pm show would go on as normal.
However, the police insisted that the site was evacuated and the housemates were taken to a secure room in the Elstree complex and given music to listen to. The executive producers entered the house to tell the housemates to prepare for being evacuated and not to be alarmed.
The box was detonated at around 10:20pm and bomb disposal units from the Army arrived to examine the box and check what it contained.
It was revealed this morning, that the box contained electrical goods including batteries and wires. The box was supposed to be used for the broadcast last night. However, as the dogs reacted to it, they had to take al necessary precautions.
The housemates returned to the house shortly before 1am this morning. The task is planned to go ahead with the schedule for tonight being released later today. The voting lines are still open and will now close during the show tonight at 9pm on C4 and 10pm on S4C. |
